An AS level is worth up to 20 UCAS points. An A is worth 20, a B 16, a C 12, a D 10 and an E 6. That is a bit less than half the points of a full A level at the same grade (an A at A level is worth 48).

AS Double Award
The UCAS Tariff tables also list the AS Double Award, which has two grades and is the same size as one A level. AA is worth 40 points and EE is worth 12.

Do AS levels count towards UCAS points?
Yes. A completed AS level that is certificated carries UCAS points on its own. Check with each university how they treat an AS in a subject you also took at A level.
